Desktop Layout

Pick how the carousel looks on desktop. Mobile is unaffected.

Page Layout

Optionally include a text block next to the carousel. None (default) is just the carousel.

Centered Heading

A centered header + subheader rendered above the carousel (on the page, not over the videos). Works with any desktop style. Available only when the Page Layout above is set to None (carousel only) — the Text Left/Right layouts use their own text block instead. Leave both blank to show no heading.

Hover Preview

Desktop only: when a visitor hovers a reel for ~1s, play a silent preview that continues as long as their cursor stays on the video. Click to start full playback with audio. Off by default for the infinite carousel.

Auto-Advance

When a reel finishes playing, automatically slide to the next reel and start it (TikTok-style continuous flow). Loops back to the first reel after the last.

Reels

Note: The infinite carousel loops seamlessly. Works best with 4, 5, or 6 reels.

Paste into your CMS HTML block

Tip: Paste as a fresh HTML block. The carousel scrolls infinitely in both directions and centers the active video.

Centered Heading (optional)

Adds a centered header + subheader on the page directly above the story circles. Plain text — it sits on the page and never overlaps the circles. Leave both blank to hide.

Highlight Ring Color

This is the default for all circles. Individual circles can still be overridden below.

Reels

Note: Tapping a circle opens a fullscreen player that auto-advances through every reel.

Paste into your CMS HTML block

Tip: Paste as a fresh HTML block. The circles row scrolls horizontally if you add more than fit.

Callout Style

Use either, both, or neither to set the widget apart from surrounding page content.

Hover Preview

Desktop only: when a visitor hovers the reel for ~1s, play a silent preview that continues as long as their cursor stays on the video. Click to start full playback with audio.

Spacing

Desktop only: by default the text block has 60px of breathing room next to the reel. Check this to remove that padding (text extends to the container edge).

Paste into your CMS HTML block

Tip: Paste as a fresh HTML block. Layout adapts automatically on mobile (text stacks below the reel).

Shown as a header above the full-width grid. Hidden in side-text mode (the text block already serves as branding).

Layout

Choose where the text block sits relative to the grid. None shows just the 12-card grid. Text Left/Right uses 6 reels in a 3×2 grid alongside header + paragraph text.

Centered Heading (optional)

Adds a centered header + paragraph on the page directly above the grid. Plain text — it sits on the page and never overlaps the videos. Leave both blank to hide.

Reels — up to 12

Desktop renders 2 rows × 6 cards in a grid. Mobile shows three swipeable pages of 4 (2×2). Reels 1, 4, 8, 12 each start a parallel autoplay lane when the grid enters the viewport — all four play simultaneously, and when each lane's video ends the next reel in order starts playing in that lane (so motion keeps rotating through all 12 reels over time). Hover any card on desktop to play it immediately. Click any card to open a viewer with full controls (audio, scrub, captions). Up to 12 reels.

Paste into your CMS HTML block

Tip: Mobile (under 768px) collapses to three swipeable pages. Page indicator dots show which page is active.

Add Video to Library

Stored per-client. Title is only used inside the builder (picker dropdown and library list) — visitors never see it. Video Title (Shown) is the title that renders on the widget card on the public website; it auto-fills the label field when you pick this video on a widget tab. Poster is optional and auto-fills the thumbnail field on Quick Pick (except Story Highlights, which uses the creator's photo).

Lower-resolution variant used in the Video Grid widget's autoplaying cards. Saves bandwidth — visitors get the full-quality URL when they pop a card out. Leave blank to use the main URL everywhere.

Adaptive-bitrate stream. When set, the Video Grid widget uses this and lets the player auto-pick quality based on bandwidth + card size. Falls back to the SD/HD MP4 URLs above if the browser can't play HLS.

Leave blank for Vimeo videos — Splashy will auto-pull the thumbnail from the Video URL above on save.

Paste the full WebVTT content from Vimeo. On save, this gets translated into Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin via Claude (about 10–15 seconds). Leaving this blank skips captions.

Read aloud by screen readers and indexed by search engines. Leave blank to auto-generate from the title + transcript via Claude.

Sorted alphabetically by title.

Bulk Import

Paste multiple videos at once — one per line. Fields can be separated by | or by tabs (paste straight from a spreadsheet). Formats: Title | URL, Title | URL | Poster URL, or Title | Shown Title | URL | Poster URL (Poster optional in the 4-column form — leave it blank). Lines starting with # are ignored. Max 500 entries per import.

Add Creator to Library

Stored per-client. Surfaces in the Stories tab Quick Pick Person dropdown.

Emails the creator when you message, request changes, approve, or mark their invoice paid.

Saved Widgets (0)

Save a widget configuration to reuse or edit it later. Saved widgets are stored per-client — anyone logged in with this password sees the same list. Saved widgets do not auto-update widgets that are already live on a website; to push changes, regenerate the embed and re-paste it into your CMS.

Total qualified plays (a play that ran for at least 3 seconds) across every SPLSHY widget deployed on your site.
Total time spent watching videos across every SPLSHY widget deployed on your site.
Engagement rate — share of page-view sessions that saw a SPLSHY widget AND watched a video for at least 3 seconds.
Top creators, last 30 days

Computed by matching Creator Library names against your video titles. Videos whose title doesn't contain a creator name aren't counted.
